ZST in Mielec (Poland)
Zespol Szkol Technicznych in Mielec, called ZST, is located in the heart of Mielec, a town of a population of 65,000 situated in the south-east of Poland, about 130 km from Cracow (Krakow), and close to the borders with Ukraine and Slovakia.
The school is the largest one in the whole region (Podkarpackie Province) as there are about 2000 students of both sexes in it. It is a secondary school, offering both general and technical education. 145 teachers are employed in the institution which comprises grammar school, technical school, gastronomy school and vocational one.
Mielec is famous for its Aviation Plant, sports tradition (especially football), the Special Economic Zone ‘Euro-Park Mielec’ and an eighteenth-century church in the Old Town. There are 6 secondary schools, 4 middle schools and 7 primary ones. There are also 2 colleges of higher education.
