The school is situated in a big city, and a lot of migrant workers for the olive and orange-plantations live there. It is very necessary for schools in the South of the Peleponnese to participate in European projects, because there is a need for integration of the migrant worker's children and a need for intercultural experience among the teachers.
As we are a school with children of special needs, our role is following: The pupils will paint pictures and present it in a children's-presentation and they are allowed to talk in Greek language, because they don't speak English.
We think it is very important to involve pupils with special needs in European projects like BIRDS will be.
